Plenty of homes out in the rural Vale, and on the lanes around Pencoed and Bridgend, are not on the gas main. Their heating runs on LPG from a tank or bottles, or on heating oil. They still need a local heating engineer, and the same rules about servicing and safety apply.
LPG
We install, service and repair LPG boilers. An LPG boiler works much like a mains gas boiler, but it is set up for a different gas, so it needs an engineer who works on LPG. Servicing every year matters just as much: combustion readings, the flue, the seals, the condensate pipe and the safety devices, with a written record.
Oil
We are now registered to work on oil boilers. Every oil job starts with a site visit, because the tank, the supply line, the boiler and the flue all need seeing before anything can be priced properly.
The rest of the system is the same
Whatever fuel heats the water, the radiators and pipework behind the boiler behave the same way. Cold at the bottom is sludge, cold at the top is air, far rooms cold means balancing. Everything on the rest of this site applies.
Where we work off the grid
The Vale is regular work for us: Cowbridge, Llanblethian, Aberthin, Llantwit Major, and up towards Pontyclun. There is no travel charge in the Vale. In Bridgend county the lanes around Coychurch and Heol-y-Cyw are close to our base in Pencoed.
Price
LPG and oil work is priced before we start, and oil always after the site visit. Heating engineer for the Vale, or send us the job.
